Amy enjoys the excitement and emotion that color gives her while painting in oils. Growing up in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana has influenced her choice of subject matter. Now living in Crestwood, KY, she finds many rural scenes that she would like to preserve in paintings. "God's creations and man's connection to the land, never cease to provide inspiration for me."
Her first love has always been art even though she graduated from Purdue University in Engineering. She says that she has always had an internal struggle between her math and science interests and artistic interests. She has experimented with various art classes over the years for enjoyment, even while working as an engineer.
Amy is currently a stay at home mother and wife who is finding pockets of time to pursue painting the things that bring her joy.
